Catholic Charities Golf for Charity Outing, September 15, at West Hills
Funds raised provide help and create hope for neighbors in need
Goshen – Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster is now accepting reservations for its annual Golf for Charity Outing. This great day of golfing for a cause will be held on Monday, September 15, at the beautiful West Hills Country Club in Middletown. The outing raises important funds that stay local to support the not-for-profit human service agency’s mission to provide help and create hope for neighbors in need in Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties. Catholic Charities’ community-based programs include emergency assistance with food, shelter, and other essentials of life, addiction prevention and education, peer advocacy and recovery support, and immigration legal services.
“Catholic Charities helps the most marginalized and vulnerable members of our community, regardless of their religion,” said Shannon Kelly, CEO, Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster. “Requests for assistance with basic human needs are continuing to grow and our financial and human resources are stretched thin. The Golf for Charity Outing raises critically important funds so that Catholic Charities can help individuals and families that are struggling have food on their table and a roof over their head,” added Ms. Kelly.
The 19th annual outing offers golfers and community members many ways to show their support, including foursome and individual golfer spots, sponsorships, and tee sign advertisements. The day will start with a light breakfast during the check-in reception. The “scramble” format will tee off at 10 am and a barbecue lunch will be served on the course. Prizes, raffles, and other festivities will wrap up the day with a buffet dinner under the tent. On the course contests will include hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin, and longest drive.

They’ll enjoy not only a great day on one of the region’s finest courses, but also great food, fun, and networking, while supporting Catholic Charities’ commitment to serving our neighbors in need,” said Tom Larsen, Golf Outing Chair and Senior Vice President of Government & Public Relations for Mediacom Communications.

Those interested in participating in the Golf for Charity Outing are encouraged to lock in their reservations as soon as possible. The fee per foursome is $900, or $240 for individual golfers.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities – including tee signs for only $200 – are available.
