Catholic Charities Community Services Announces New Hire

Thomas Bolzan Named Agency’s Director of Orange County Behavioral Health Services

GOSHEN, NY – Dr. Dean Scher, CEO of Catholic Charities Community Services of Orange and Sullivan, is pleased to announce that Thomas Bolzan, MS, has joined the non-profit human service agency as Director of Behavioral Health for Orange County. In this role, Mr. Bolzan is responsible for the oversight and implementation of Catholic Charities’ behavioral health programs and services in Orange County, which includes eight outpatient clinic locations.

“We are so fortunate to have Tom join the Catholic Charities team,” said Dr. Scher. “He comes to us with nearly 40 years of experience in the mental health care industry at a state and local level. He is well-known and highly regarded for his expertise and professionalism and has a keen understanding of the work that we do from both a clinical and administrative perspective,” added Dr. Scher.

Mr. Bolzan received a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from The New School for Social Research and earned his Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

“The need for programs and services like those offered by Catholic Charities continues to grow, especially in the area of addiction treatment and recovery,” said Mr. Bolzan. “I look forward to putting my breadth of experience to work to ensure that our clients and families are receiving the care they need, and our clinicians have the tools necessary to provide the best treatment possible.”

Mr. Bolzan and his wife Deborah reside in the hamlet of Johnson.
