Catholic Charities Announces New Board Members


GOSHEN – Ms. Shannon Kelly, CEO of Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster, is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to the not-for-profit agency’s volunteer board of directors.

  • Kevin Armistead – Mr. Armistead, a Goshen resident, is President & CEO of Armistead Mechanical, an HVAC and mechanical contracting firm. He is a member of the third generation managing the Armistead family’s 100-year-old business. Mr. Armistead, his family, and the firm are strong community supporters and active in many civic and charitable organizations throughout the region.
  • Vicky Burgh-Harris, LCSW – Ms. Burgh-Harris, a resident of Stone Ridge, serves as Coordinator of Human Services at SUNY Ulster. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has two decades of experience providing counseling and therapeutic support to people struggling with mental health issues, including addiction. She shares her experience and expertise with aspiring social workers as an adjunct professor at SUNY Ulster.
  • Alex Cordova, MBA, SPHR – Mr. Cordova, a resident of Wappingers Falls, is a human resources professional with expertise in all facets of employee and labor relations.
    He serves as Human Resources Director for Ulster Savings Bank, which has branch locations throughout Catholic Charities’ service area.
  • Christy Kriney, PhD, DNM, LCSWR, BCN – Dr. Kriney, a resident of Goshen, is a Doctor of Natural Medicine and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with more than 20 years’ experience specializing in trauma-focused energy medicine to help people empower themselves through an awareness of the mind and body connection.

“We are delighted to welcome Kevin, Vicky, Alex, and Christy to Catholic Charities’ Board of Directors,” said Ms. Kelly. “Each brings unique expertise, strong community relationships, and a commitment to making a difference in the region where they live and work. We are grateful for their support of Catholic Charities’ mission to provide help and create hope for our neighbors in need, especially during these difficult times.”

Catholic Charities’ board is comprised of volunteers from all walks of life who live or work in Orange, Sullivan, or Ulster County. The Board exercises fiduciary responsibility for the proper oversight and governance of the agency and the people it serves. The full Board meets on a quarterly basis and members also participate in a variety of standing and ad hoc committees and attend Catholic Charities’ events throughout the year.
