Catholic Charities Hosts Ribbon Cutting, Open House At New Port Jervis Office Location

150 Pike Street Office Offers Convenient Access to Agency Services

Port Jervis – Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan & Ulster welcomed guests to an open house at its new office location at 150 Pike Street, Port Jervis. Catholic Charities CEO, Shannon Kelly, welcomed visitors to the new space and Fr. Anthony Giacona, of Saint Mary’s Church, provided a blessing and offered words of support for the staff who work there and the clients who access services during difficult times.

“Port Jervis is a tight knit community. We’re happy to be a part of it and grateful for the support we receive,” said Julie Schwerer, Catholic Charities Port Jervis Program Director. “Word is spreading about this new, more convenient location and our experienced and compassionate staff are providing help and creating hope for our neighbors in need.”

For those struggling with the disease of addiction to alcohol, drugs, and other substances, services available through Catholic Charities’ Port Jervis location include individual, group, and family counseling, as well as medication-assisted therapy, psychiatric support, and peer recovery support. Other services available through Catholic Charities’ Port Jervis office are social safety net supports for assistance with food, shelter, and other emergency needs, and the Children’s Health and Social Safety Net Initiative for immigrant parents who have substance use disorder. Catholic Charities provides assistance to those in need regardless of religion, ability to pay, or insurance status.

Catholic Charities’ new office is located in the heart of the city in what was previously the Orange County Office Complex. There is plentiful on- and off-street parking and sidewalks offer easy access for walkers.
