Catholic Charities Receives $2500 Grant From Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation

KINGSTON, NY – Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster is the grateful recipient of a $2500 grant from the Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation. The funds will be used to support Catholic Charities social safety net programs administered at the non-profit agency’s Ulster County location at 6 Adams Street, Kingston. These programs include a client-choice food pantry, a kids’ pantry for baby and toddler necessities, and the Resource Exchange which helps with mattresses, school supplies, and basic household items.

John Finch, Ulster Savings Bank EVP/COO and Executive Director of the USB Charitable Foundation, visited the Catholic Charities Kingston location for a tour and check presentation.
“The work of Catholic Charities is closely aligned with the mission of the Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation,” said Mr. Finch. “Their dedicated staff provide much-needed services to help those who are struggling enjoy a better quality of life. We’re happy to support their good work.”

In addition to emergency food and shelter assistance, services available at the Catholic Charities Kingston location include case management, immigration legal services, youth programs through CYO, peer services for those struggling with addiction, and the Guild for the Blind.

The Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation was formed in 2003 to assist the local community in areas of housing, education, and human services.
