Orange County Tavern & Restaurant Association Donated 80 Turkeys to Catholic Charities for Thanksgiving Celebrations

GOSHEN, NY – A generous donation of turkeys from the Orange County Tavern & Restaurant Association helped make Thanksgiving celebrations a little brighter this year for 80 families served by Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. Association president, Tommy O’Toole, and wife Christine O’Toole, owners of O’Toole’s Pub in Monroe, coordinated the delivery of the turkeys to Catholic Charities.

“We are grateful to all the members of the Orange County Tavern & Restaurant Association for their incredibly generous donation of turkeys,” said Kristin Jensen, Chief Advancement Officer for Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. “While turkey tends to be the highlight of our Thanksgiving feasts, there are many in our community who go without the turkey or the feast at all. This year, 80 families were able to enjoy not just the turkey, but the joy that comes from sharing a meal together, thanks to the giving spirit of the Orange County Tavern & Restaurant Association’s members,” added Jensen.

The turkeys were donated to Catholic Charities during the iHeartMedia Stuff-the-Bus food drive which made it possible for recipients to receive many of the accompanying Thanksgiving fixings as well.
