A Shower of Blessings from St. Columba (Chester) Ladies Auxiliary for Catholic Charities Thanks to Annual Baby Shower

Goshen, NY – The annual Baby Shower hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Columba Parish in Chester brings special blessings to the mothers and children served by Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. This year, the ladies collected a carload full of diapers, wipes, onesies, clothing, and other baby necessities that were delivered to the Catholic Charities office in Goshen.

“The generosity of the Ladies Auxiliary and the parishioners of St. Columba is heartwarming,” said Kristin Jensen, Chief Advancement Officer, Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. “Their donation will help make life a little easier and more comfortable for the new mothers and babies served by Catholic Charities,” added Jensen. “We are extremely grateful for the blessings they shower us with each year.”

Through a variety of programs, including emergency food and shelter assistance, Catholic Charities provides basic necessities of life to the neediest in the community. This frequently includes food, clothing, hygiene items, furniture, and household items. Throughout the year, many community groups organize drives to benefit Catholic Charities and the clients they serve. Catholic Charities provides assistance to those in need, regardless of religion or ability to pay.
